The Expert Group consists of experts in the field of building and building products LCA and energy efficiency of buildings, from industry and research organisations. The role of this group is to support the development of the guidance document in providing energy efficient buildings technical based knowledge. In addition to members of the consortium that are part of the Expert Group (ESCI, BRE, ChS), the Sustainable Buildings Alliance (SBA) has expressed their commitment to voluntarily contribute to the Expert Group. During the beginning of the project, other stakeholders and experts in the field of LCA and energy efficiency of buildings are welcome to join the Expert Group on a voluntary basis, as well. Selected interested parties will be invited to join the Expert Group during the first phase of the project. The maximum size of the Expert Group is expected to not exceed the number of eight experts. Possible members that could be invited are the JRC’s European Platform on LCA in Ispra (JRC IES) or members of the CEN TC 350 “Sustainability of Construction Works” such as Dr. Eva Schmincke, convenor of WG 4 (product level).
