Work Packages

Within the project, the consortium will perform self-contained work packages which require different skills and knowledge.

The content-related key experience, knowledge and skills are:

  • Performing LCA and using its methodology as well as providing LCA datasets,
  • Knowing the Energy efficient Buildings Initiative and its targets,
  • Knowing about LCAs and EPDs of buildings and building products
  • Knowing the work of CEN TC 350 and related standardization and harmonization processes,
  • Knowing the ILCD system (International Reference Life Cycle Data System),
  • Development, design and implementation of a website with public and restricted
  • Access areas (project internal) to up-/ download data for assessment, tools, etc.

In order to achieve the objectives of the project in a structured and manageable way, all project activities are structured in five work packages (excluding project management). One special focus will lie on not only providing a thorough guidance document, but to disseminate actively and to involve relevant stakeholders through the different means of the project. One of these means is public consultation, where building certification bodies and certification schemes stakeholders will be directly addressed and invited to participate. As the vast majority of certification schemes stakeholders are SMEs – planners, construction companies, building product manufacturers, the involvement of SMEs is most important and can directly been assured through the focused invitation of such stakeholders.
